Frequently asked questions
Are these classes approved by the Tennessee Real Estate Commission?
Yes. Home Star Courses offers TREC-approved continuing education for Tennessee real estate licensees, and CE credit eligibility follows Tennessee requirements.
How many CE hours do I need to renew my TN license?
Tennessee requires 16 hours every two-year license term: the mandatory 6-hour TREC Core course plus 10 hours of approved electives. Our classes count toward your 10 elective hours — the Complete 10 Bundle covers all of them.
Are classes live or self-paced?
Live, always. Every class is taught in real time — via Zoom or in person — so you can ask questions and work through real examples with the instructor.
How does my CE credit get reported?
Attendance is verified during each live class, and your completed hours are reported to CE Broker, Tennessee's official CE tracking system, by Home Star Courses as the sponsor.
Do I need my camera on during Zoom classes?
Yes — when a live online course requires attendance verification for CE credit, you'll need to follow the participation and attendance requirements communicated before class.
